Photovoltaic mounting system on gravel and green flat roofs
TRITON SOUTH & TRITON EAST WESTThe TRITON PV flat roof mounting system is an aerodynamic, penetration-free PV mounting system for flat roofs of all types with a pressure-resistant substrate (foil, bitumen, gravel, green or trapezoidal sheet metal roof).
The mounting system can be realized as an east/west elevation with 12° inclination as well as a south elevation with 12° or 15° inclination.
Photovoltaic mounting system on gravel or green flat roof?
The topic of load reserves is a point that should not be underestimated, especially in the flat roof area.
This is where the TRITON system is a game changer, because the optimized design allows the weight per unit area to be reduced to a minimum, so that PV systems can be installed even with low load reserves, as can occur on gravel-covered flat roofs.
TRITON systems offer and maintain maximum flexibility.
On the one hand, roof areas can be optimally utilized thanks to the possible combinations of systems: In the case of interfering areas such as skylights or inspection shafts, only the modules that would “collide” with the interfering contour are omitted without interrupting the entire row.
For this purpose, south elevations are simply integrated into east/west systems.
On the other hand, maximum flexibility for the future is also guaranteed.
This means that unused building or open spaces can be equipped with a flat roof system and generate electricity.
If the area is then needed for a new hall in a few years’ time, the system can be dismantled without leaving any residue and individually rebuilt on a new building.
TRITON can also be used on green flat roofs.
The elevations are simply mounted on stone elevations to increase the distance between the green roof and the modules and to ensure accessibility for cutting work.
Installation of the mounting system on a gravel or green flat roof:
Installation is carried out on roof pitches ≤ 3° without roof penetration, only with weighting.
For bitumen flat roofs with a pitch of up to 10°, the TRITON flat roof system can be installed with mechanical anti-slip protection. To ensure a low-ballast overall system, the TRITON flat roof system was not only tested for stability in a WtG-approved boundary layer wind tunnel, but also optimized aerodynamically. This means that even roofs with a low load reserve can be used sensibly for photovoltaics.
A lightning current-capable version of the TRITON system in accordance with DIN EN 62305-3 is also available as an option.
TRITON special features – High degree of pre-assembly
The high degree of pre-assembly and the unique, tool-free assembly with plug-in bolt connections are outstanding.
Chipless installation ensures that the roof cladding remains intact.
Thanks to the pre-configuration of the TRITON system, no time-consuming measuring and adjustment work is required.
