End of solar subsidies is lifted!

After lengthy negotiations, the GROKO has been able to agree on a far-reaching climate agreement.

“The current cap of 52 gigawatts for promoting the expansion of PV systems will be lifted.”

Conversely, this means that once the total of 52 gigawatts of installed photovoltaic systems has been reached, up to 750 kilowatts of systems will continue to be subsidized. That is good news!

There was no progress for a long time and the industry had to fear that nothing more would happen. The limit would have been reached as early as next year. “No mercy for solar subsidies”. Once the limit had been reached, the solar industry was supposed to be able to manage without any subsidies. Now something positive has happened.

The nature and extent of the expansion in the area of photovoltaics remains unclear. Even if it is not the expected leap forward and the climate package has been criticized by critics as being more of a pud than a hui, it is at least a step in the right direction. Things could have turned out differently.
