Intersolar Europe starts this week in Munich. It is regarded as the world’s leading trade fair for the solar industry and is an important meeting place for the photovoltaic, solar thermal and solar power plant sectors.
According to the latest data from AG Energiebilanzen, around seven percent of gross electricity generation in Germany was supplied by photovoltaic systems last year. This means that the share of photovoltaic energy in the electricity mix rose again for the first time after having stagnated for several years, as the chart shows. Low system prices and a high demand for more environmentally friendly energy sources caused the solar energy market to grow last year.
This year’s Intersolar is taking place at the New Munich Trade Fair Center until May 17 and we at T.Werk will be there again.
