Bitumen is a widely used method of waterproofing flat roofs. It impresses with its weather resistance, is durable, resistant to UV radiation and temperature fluctuations. It is also easy and flexible to install, inexpensive and comparatively lightweight. However, like other flat roof waterproofing systems, it is also exposed to higher weather loads due to its low pitch.
Accordingly, a number of special features must be observed when installing photovoltaics on bitumen flat roofs. It is essential that it is installed without penetrating and without chipping in order to ensure the integrity of the roof cladding and thus avoid consequential damage to the entire building. In addition, depending on the roof conditions, suitable building protection mats must be used.

TRITON is an aerodynamic, penetration-free PV mounting system for flat roofs with bitumen waterproofing. It is secured by ballasting with standard concrete blocks, which are either placed on the rails themselves or in a ballasting tray. TRITON has been tested for stability in a WtG-approved limit speed channel and aerodynamically optimized. This keeps ballasting to a minimum.
TRITON is installed on bitumen flat roofs completely without tools using plug-in bolt connections. The chipless installation guarantees the integrity of the roof cladding and saves an enormous amount of working time. Just like TRITON’s high degree of pre-assembly, which eliminates the need for time-consuming measuring and adjustment work.
