A gravel covering protects the flat roof: wind suction forces have less of an attack surface, heat and UV radiation lose their effect on the roof covering. Gravel transports moisture away very well and prevents large accumulations of water. Gravel flat roofs also offer greater fire protection, especially against radiant heat and flying sparks.
To support the weight of the stones, gravel roofs have a greater load reserve than other flat roofs. These are usually reinforced concrete roofs. When installing photovoltaics, it is important to guarantee the integrity of the roof cladding and at the same time ensure that the substructure is protected from damage by the gravel.

The TRITON mounting system is particularly suitable for installing photovoltaics on flat roofs with gravel. It is mounted on the gravel layer without penetrating it and without removing or moving it. Thanks to the innovative plug-in bolt system, installation is carried out without tools; the pre-assembled rails are unfolded and fixed in place with plug-in bolts. There is no need for time-consuming measuring and adjustment work. TRITON therefore saves a lot of time when installing on a flat gravel roof.
The TRITON has been tested for stability and aerodynamically optimized in a WtG-approved limit speed channel to minimize ballast. Ballasting is carried out with standard construction material. Team T.Werk creates a project-specific ballasting plan.
