Minister of State Eric Beißwenger visits T.Werk GmbH

T.Werk GmbH in Burgau welcomed the Bavarian Minister for European Affairs, Eric Beißwenger, on Monday. After a presentation of the T.Werk product world, the requirements for doubling electricity generation from renewable energies by 2030 were discussed in a subsequent round of talks. A tour of the production facilities concluded the visit.

T.Werk is a premium manufacturer of mounting systems for photovoltaic systems. Whether pitched roof, flat roof, carport, ground-mounted or agri-PV: T.Werk develops and produces high-quality substructure solutions in the B2B sector, which are characterized by ease of installation and thus time savings. T.Werk relies on sustainable partnerships with solar installers, architects and craftsmen.

Minister of State Eric Beißwenger, together with District Administrator Dr. Hans Reichhart, the 1st Mayor of Burgau, Martin Brenner, the 2nd Mayor of Burgau, Martina Wenni-Auinger as well as MdL Marina Jakob and MdL Jenny Schack informed themselves about the products of T.Werk. Markus Ziegler, Managing Director of T.Werk and Hans Jürgen Sauter, Head of Sales and Marketing, explained the unique selling points of T.Werk’s substructures.

Beißwenger was interested in the variety of products from T.Werk and pointed out the importance of various PV systems for the success of the energy transition. In particular, carport systems such as the HELIOS from T.Werk, which can also be used to generate electricity on sealed surfaces, could contribute to increasing the share of renewable energies. Beißwenger recognized opportunities for the cultivation of special crops in the ARTEMIS agri-PV system, which allows further use of agricultural land thanks to its high elevation.

Beißwenger emphasized: “As a manufacturer of mounting systems for PV modules, T.Werk can contribute to our goal of doubling electricity generation from renewable energies by 2030. A reliable and affordable supply of electricity, including from renewable energies, is of the utmost importance for the future viability of our business location, to guarantee security of supply and to ensure competitive electricity prices. In order to maintain Bavaria’s position as a world-class industrial and high-tech location, a decisive course must be set in the areas of security of supply, competitive energy prices and the expansion of renewable energies.” Bavaria has already set the course with its energy package, said the Minister. “Bavaria is the absolute leader in Germany in the expansion of renewable energies.”

During the final production tour, Minister Beißwenger was impressed by T.Werk’s approach of producing at the company headquarters in Burgau and sourcing purchased materials exclusively from Europe: “Regional production secures jobs in Bavaria, contributes to the strength of our business location and reduces international dependencies,” said Beißwenger.
